Dolly Parton & Lainey Wilson Honor The Judds With Duet On New Tribute Album
Some of country music’s biggest stars joined forces to honor The Judds on a new tribute album, called A Tribute to The Judds. Dolly Parton and Lainey Wilson united to record a duet for the album, which dropped on October 27, 2023
The album’s release came a little over a year after Naomi Judd died on April 30, 2022. She was 76 years old.

We first learned about Parton and Wilson’s duet during the time of the ACM Awards in May. Dolly told ET Canada she recorded a song with Wilson in tribute to The Judds.
“They’re doing an album for The Judds for mental illness and some of the problems that [Naomi Judd] had. So they’re doing a whole album of the songs, and I got to do ‘Mama He’s Crazy’ with Lainey,” Dolly said.

Dolly & Lainey Release Their Version Of “Mama He’s Crazy”
We later learned that Parton and Wilson recorded a new version of “Mama He’s Crazy.” The Judds released the song in April 1984.
“Mama He’s Crazy” reached the #1 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. It became the first #1 song of the duo’s career. By the end of 1984, it ranked at the #3 position on the year-end country chart.
The song has since been certified Gold by the RIAA for the sale of over 500,000 units.
