Another progressive district attorney backed by George Soros is biting the dust, losing their releection efforts in favor of someone who can hopefully do a better job. This time it’s current DA Mike Schmidt being ousted by challenger Nathan Vasquez. Don’t mix this up with Phillies all-time great 3rd baseman, Mike Schmidt – that’s a different guy. The DA Mike Schmidt, in Portland, Oregon, is best known for his failure to prosecute BLM and Antifa rioters and criminals who destroyed parts of the city.

If you can recall correctly, Portland has become a complete dump under Democratic leadership, resembling a 3rd-world sh*thole as Donald Trump would probably call it. And rightfully so, with all the soft on crime approaches, it’s no wonder criminals run rampant in Democrat/progressive run towns. Oregon Live also reported on Schmidt’s soon-to-be official loss in a political news story:

Vasquez, 47, zeroed in on what he characterized as Schmidt’s failure to lead, whether it was on crime, the state of downtown Portland or within the office. He accused Schmidt of sitting on the sidelines as the public use of fentanyl proliferated and called attention to Schmidt’s shifting views of Measure 110, Oregon’s first-in-the-nation drug decriminalization law.

Schmidt, meanwhile, encountered a dramatically altered political landscape than when he ran in 2020, as his message failed to resonate with voters who four years ago enthusiastically swept him into office after a campaign that highlighted racial and ethnic disparities in the justice system.

Kim Foxx from Chicago felt the heat and people disliked her, so she’s not coming back. Chese Boudin from San Francisco was recalled. It seems like the people are finally waking up as they see their neighborhoods destroyed by failing progressives who simply won’t put their foot down on criminals. It’s like they want criminals to destroy their own cities. It makes no sense and the progressive way of life seems to be ruining everything it touches.
