Actor Chance Perdomo has tragically died after a motorcycle incident at just 27 years old.
Perdomo rose to fame with his brilliant performance in popular The Boys spinoff TV show Gen V.
Tributes have begun pouring in for the young actor on social media with many remarking he would have likely gone on to have an illustrious career.
His representatives at Shelter PR confirmed his death and called for privacy for his family on Saturday March 30.
“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest,” the statement read.
“We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
The producers of Gen V also issued a statement commending Perdomo for his character and dedication to his craft.
“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this,” the statement began.

“For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.
“Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense.
“We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”
Many on X remarked at how the news has impacted them.
“Dude just joined a great franchise as a badass character with a badass group of friends and had his entire life ahead of him and now he’s just gone. life is so unfair man,” one user wrote.

“Rest on Young Legend. It’s so sad you left this world so soon,” commented another fan.
“I’m so sad I’m getting mad trying to deny he’s gone. Chance was a great actor and he was so young. I hope his family and friends are doing well trying to grasp with this tragedy,” a fourth added.
“He was heck of actor and he has achieved much more in his short span of life..he will be remembered forever…RIP TO HIM,” another fan added.

While it’s not always the case, you’ll often find that spin-offs of popular film and TV shows are not as good as their original.
To be honest, this is not entirely surprising considering that spin-off projects are usually made based of an IP that has performed extremely well and is adored by critics and fans alike.
One popular show that had its own spin-off release last week was The Boys, a popular Prime Video show that started in 2019 and has three seasons to date.
The Boys sits at an impressive 93 percent Rotten Tomatoes score, so a spin-off certainly had a lot to do to try and beat it.
Well, Gen V launched on Prime Video at the end of September, taking a look at what our iconic superheroes would be like if they were in college.
The series follows a group of young prospective superheroes – or supes, as they’re known in the show – as they’re put through a series of rigorous games to prove they’ve got what it takes to be Vought’s next big thing.
They have all sorts of weird and wonderful powers that get them into trouble, allowing for a rather speculator series for many to sink their teeth into.

Despite The Boys being adored by fans, many have flocked to social media to say they believe Gen V is in fact better than the original.
“I thought The Boys was sick but Gen V just upped it to a new level,” one fan penned on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Meanwhile, legendary video game developer and filmmaker Hideo Kojima wrote: “I love ‘THE BOYS,’ so I watched an episode of its spin-off, ‘GEN V.’ Is it a superhero school? A super power school Z or a ‘Euphoria’ version of a super power?
“I was expecting something a little different, but it’s a direct school version of ‘THE BOYS’! They’ve gone all out!
“Blood, guts, and youth are all over the place! I was very satisfied! Oh, this is great.”

On the other hand, one fan still prefers The Boys, with them writing: “Gen V is so good but nothing will top The Boys.”
Industry critics have also been full of praise for the spin-off, with Gen V debuting at an faultless 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.
Grace Randolph from Beyond the Trailer said: “One would think the magic of The Boys couldn’t be duplicated, but Gen V is a fantastic extension of that edgy, clever superhero show.
“Only this time instead of the Avengers & Justice League, this is a take on the X-Men. Lots of VFX & mystery – a fun time!”

Prime Video’s The Boys spinoff, Gen V, has been renewed for a second season.
Just as the show prepares to air its season finale, the cast and crew have been given the best news possible.
The streaming service wants the good times to keep rolling and dive deeper into Godolkin University.
The first instalment focuses on the death of superhero Golden Boy and his mysterious younger brother.
A team of student supes come together, combine their powers, and take on the forces that are keeping secrets from everyone.
While The Boys had some pretty regular superhero powers like super strength, laser eyes, and being very fast, Gen V expanded the idea.
The students have very different abilities, with one being able to control blood, another their size but only through how much they ate or purged, or even controlling someone’s emotions and intentions.
Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement: “Expanding the universe of The Boys with a series as bold as Gen V has been an incredible journey for us and our wonderful partners at Sony.
“From our first conversation with showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, along with Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, we knew Gen V would push the boundaries.
“Their unapologetic approach is exactly what audiences love, and it has helped Gen V become the No. 1 series on Prime Video in over 130 countries.
“Gen V is Prime Video’s most acquisitive new Original series of 2023, and we’re excited that our incredible cast and crew are going to continue telling brave and bold stories from Gen V to our customers.”
Not only did the show go to number one, but it also gave The Boys a run for its money.

The spinoff makes several references to characters and plot from the legendary original show, but fans thought this fresh look at a world controlled by Vought could even be better than its parent.
