The oldest woman in the world lived until the age of 122. A French woman named Jean Clement, who died in 1997. But recently an Italian woman named Giuseppina Projetto has reached an impressive age of 116, but unfortunately she died last month.
She was asked what her secret was for a long life – and the answer might surprise you.

Giuseppina was known as the “Grandmother of Italy” and lived in a village not far from the beautiful town of Florence. She had a son, but unfortunately he drowned to death at age 39.
In December 2017 the italian woman became the oldest woman in Europe. After her grandson told her the news, she said, “Really, how old am I?”.
So she revealed that she could not go through a day without chocolate, and said that this super food along with a positive attitude is her secret to a long and healthy life.
Giuseppina certainly came up with something. Although chocolate is rich in fat and calories, this wonderful candy can be very helpful. Studies have shown that the antioxidant level of dark chocolate is higher than healthy fruits such as cranberries, blueberries and acai.
A 2015 study found that a small amount of dark chocolate daily lowers blood pressure in type 2 diabetes and balances blood sugar levels. The flavanols in cocoa improve blood flow to the brain, which is very helpful in people with stroke or dementia, and it also helps prevent cancer.
