3-year-old hovers between life and death after babysitter beat him up for ‘crying’

Leaving your child in the care of others requires a lot of faith from your end. To find out your child was hurt while in someone else’s care can be a heartbreaking moment.

This little boy was left in the care of someone his parents knew well, but what happened to him was absolutely gut-wrenching.

3-year-old Noah Brown from Indiana, USA, has been described as a ball of energy by those who know him. The little boy’s parents have been divorced for a while. And late last month, something terrible in his young life unfolded.

The young boy was in his biological father’s care at the time. And instead of his father looking after him, he was left in the care of his father’s 12-year-old stepson. According to Noah’s grandmother, Noah began crying while he was being babysat by the 12-year-old.

Noah’s crying was not appreciated and his 12-year-old babysitter’s reaction was something no one expected. In the past, it had been known that the pre-teen babysitter has some aggression issues. When the toddler began crying, the babysitter could not stand it and began to beat Noah up with a belt.

He then proceeded to throw Noah onto a bed and the little boy hit his head on the headboard. The 12-year-old then continued to pound the toddler’s head into the wall because Noah finally collapsed completely.

Shortly after the attack, the 12-year-old was arrested for aggravated assault, weapon possession, and four counts of assault. The little boy went straight to the hospital to be treated for his serious injuries.

Noah was sedated in the hospital and in the intensive care unit where he received treatment.

“He has had to be placed in life support and has had a part of his skull removed due to the intensity of his injuries,” his mother, Michelle Lane, told the media.

When Noah was attacked, he was already suffering from Covid, which made his recovery even more challenging than it would have normally been.

It is not clear whether the little boy will be able to fully recover. His mother is currently unsure that he will even recover from the amount of injuries he sustained, saying the little boy went through several seizures.

It is unclear if he will ever fully recover or if he will even survive. His mother says he went through several seizures.

“It’s not guaranteed what his quality of life is going to be but we’re praying and hoping for the best that he comes out just fine,” his mother Lane said.

To avoid something so tragic from occurring again, the mother has started a petition that asks for the legal age to babysit to be changed in her state to a minimum of 16 years old.
